20 Days of WoW Blogging – Day 06 – Your workplace/desk (photo and/or description)

I’m not sure what this one means, the place I work, or just the place I play Warcraft, so what the hell, I’ll do both.

This is my PC.

It’s a wee bit squashed into the corner, and it was taken on my phone camera so it’s not great quality.  And that’s a bottle of suncream next to the monitor, and no, I don’t know why it’s there.

My Workplace:

Hopefully no one will stalk me after I have posted this.

20 Days of WoW Blogging – Day 05 – Favourite item(s) in game

Oh now this one I will really have to think about…

I love minipets.  I don’t have a huge collection on most of my characters as I am too lazy to farm then, but I love the ones I have.  On my original Priest, Caisha, made a point of getting all the cats, even though she was horde and I paid a gazillion gold for the damn things.   Even the White Kitten.  And boy was THAT over priced…

This is a bit image heavy so lets put the rest behind a cut.

20 Days of WoW Blogging – Day 04 – Your best WoW memory

This is a tough one. There are a few memories that stand out. Oddly enough getting my first character to lvl 60 back in Vanilla isn’t one, I don’t remember that at all.

I’m going to go with getting my first ever epic. It was on my hunter on Kul Tiras. I’d rolled there with friends and we’d made our own guild, but they left and as much as I liked the people left I wanted to raid. After meeting the GM during a UBRS run I ended up applying to Wowrush Rushers, and was accepted a few days later. Literally within minutes of my joining I was summoned to MC, to kill Ragnaros. Yeah, being dumped in the deep end is a thing for me. He was downed, and I ended up with the T2 legs on my first ever raid, and it all happened within 30 mins or so of joining.

Another great memory from that guild is the Christmas party we had once, where we had to race our characters naked and drunk from the far end of Winterspring to the Ashenvale end of Felwood. With Full Screen Glow turned on. Wish I still had screenies of that!

I stayed with the Rushers for quite a while, though there were periods I didn’t play, and I have some very fond memory’s of that guild and the people in it. Sadly our association did not end well, and whilst they still exist they don’t raid from what I have heard. I still look out for the in LFR but not seen anyone I know so far.

20 Days of WoW Blogging – Day 03 – Your first day playing WoW

With last week being slightly mad I got behind in this, but here we go with day 3.

My first day in WoW was 4th May 2005. I can remember the day quite clearly, because my ex husband had been taken to hospital that morning with what turned out to be a severe migraine, and when I got home I decided it had been a shitty day and bought myself WoW, which I had always said I wouldn’t do as at the time I didn’t believe in paying to play a game each month.

I hadn’t played a MMO like it before and I was ever so excited.  I got the game home, installed it and fired up the game.  And discovered for the first time the joys of patching.  I remember it took hours, and I was distraught, all I wanted to do was play this great looking game!

Eventually it was done, and I watched the intro with bright eyes and a busy tail.  Then I had to make my first ever character!  I don’t remember her name, but I do remember it was a druid on Argent Dawn EU.  I don’t think I got very far on her, I don’t really remember why or how but I soon ended up on Shadowsong EU and that’s where it really began.

20 Days of WoW Blogging -Day 01 – Introduce yourself

It has begun. The first day. So here goes.

I’m Morrigu, or Mora as they call me in guild (my original main was Moraith, but Mora is close enough to Morrigu to stick). I have been playing WoW since 2005. I started out Horde on Shadowsong EU, but now I’m Alliance on Darkmoon Faire EU, via Kul Tiras. I have a baby Horde alt on Steamwheedle Cartel EU as well. My main is a Shadow Priest.

In real life I am 31, female and from North Yorkshire, England. I live in the middle of nowhere with my fiancé, G and our 3 pet snakes. No kids as yet but we are hoping to start a family in the next few years. I am a housekeeper and barmaid in a local pub, and hope to go to college once I’ve learned to drive, which I am doing right now. My ultimate aim is to become a paramedic.

Outside of WoW my interests are console gaming, caving, art and reading. I’m something of a goth, but my music tastes range from Metallica to musicals, and I love the colour pink. And Hello Kitty.

My favourite films are the Aliens Quadrilogy and the Predator Movies, American Werewolf in London and Labyrinth, but I tend to watch any horror, fantasy are slasher movies that come along. TV wise I am a huge fan of all three CSI’s, NCIS, The Big Bang Theory, Supernatural, Firefly and Castle. But my number one favourite is Dr Who. I also watch anime, though G doesn’t appreciate it.

My favourite books are the Dresden Files by Jim Butcher and the Pendergast novels by Preston & Child, but I read a lot of fantasy and crime books. And comic books, I love comic books.

I love animals, even scaly ones like snakes, but have fear of spiders. When I get my own place I want a cat, a dig and a ferret. And that’s just for starters!

So yeah, that’s me in all my weird glory. Day 2 tomorrow!
